٣٥١١ - الشيخ الفاضل عُتْبة بن خَيْثمة بن محمد بن حاتم بن خيثمة بن الحسن بن عوف بن حنظلة النيسابوري، الإمام القاضي أبو الهيثم المشهور بكنيته *أستاذ الفقهاء والقضاة، عديم النظير في الفقه والتدريس والفتوى. تولى القضاء سنة اثنتين وتسعين وثلاثمائة إلى سنة خمس وأربعمائة، فأجراه أحسن مجرى. ومات في سادس عشر جمادى الآخرة سنة ست وأربعمائة. تفقّه على الأستاذ أبي الحسين قاضي الحرمين (¬١). [قال الحاكم] (¬٢): فصار أوحد عصره، حتى لم يبق بـ "خراسان" قاض على مذهب الكوفيين إلا وهو ينتَمِي إليه. * * *
