٣٠٣٠ - الشيخ الفاضل عبد الصمد العثماني، الجونبوري، أحد العلماء المبرّزين في الفقه والأصول * *ذكره صاحب "نزهة الخواطر"، وقال: قرأ على عمّه محمد رشيد بن مصطفى العثماني الجونبوري، ولازمه زمانا، حتى برع، وفاق في كثير من العلوم والفنون، ثم سار إلى "دهلي"، وشارك العلماء في تصنيف "الفتاوى الهندية"، ثم ولي القضاء في بلدة من بلاد "الدكن"، واستقلّ به زمانا، ثم نقل إلى "لكنو"، وأقام بها ثماني سنوات، وأقطعه السلطان قرى متعددة. مات لثلاث بقين من رجب في بلاد "الدكن"، فنقل جسده إلى قرية "سوكلاي"، ودفن بها في حديقة القاضي، كما في "باغ بهار". * * *
