٢٧٥٩ - الشيخ الفاضل العلامة عبد الحي البنغالي، رحمه الله تعالى * * ولد في قرية "باونْبُور" من أعمال "هُغُلِي". أقام في "كلكته"، والتحق بالمدرسة العالية بها، وعيّن رئيس المدرّسين فيها من سنة ١٢٩١ هـ إلى سنة ١٣٠٨ هـ. صحّح "الإصابة في أحوال الصحابة" للإمام الحافظ ابن حجر العسقلاني، رحمه الله تعالى. كان فاضلا، عابدا، ورعا، تقيا، نقيا، وكان ممن عاصر العالم الكبير الإمام الهمام عبد الحي اللكنوي، رحمه الله تعالى. * * *
