٢٣٧٤ - الشيخ الفاضل العلامة طاهر بن عبد المجيد السِّلْهتي * *ولد سنة ١٢٧٥ هـ في قرية "بانسْبَاري" من مضافات "كَنَائغَات" من أعمال "سِلْهِت" من أرض "بنغلاديش". قرأ مبادئ العلم في قريته، ثم سافر إلى "لكنو"، فقرأ على الإمام عبد الحي اللكنوي أياما، وقرأ علم الحديث على العلامة نذير حسين الدهلوي، ثم درّس سنةً في مدرسة محمد ميان في دهلي، ثم التحق بمدرسة مولانا محمد موسى بـ "بردوان" (¬١)، ثم التحق بمدرسة كُلُوتَلا بـ "كلكته"، ودرّس فيهما كتب الحديث الشريف. من تصانيفه: "حاشية على سنن ابن ماجه"، و"ضعفاء ابن ماجه". * * *
