٢٣٣٥ - الشيخ الفاضل الصِّدِّيق بن علي بن محمد بن على القاضى،الفقيه، العلّامة، رضى الدين، الزَّبيدِيّ، المعروف بابن الخطيب * ذكره التميمي في "طبقاته"، وقال: كان فاضلا، بارعا في العربية، والمعانيّ والبيان، والمنطق، والأصْلين، والتفسير، والفقه. ووَلِيَ القضاء بـ"زبيد"، ودرّس، وأفاد. وكان في تلك البلاد رئيس الحنفية ورأسَهم، مُحِبّا في أهل مذهبه، مُعظِّما لهم، وله في القلوب موقع وجَلالة، مع الديانة والصيانة، والعِفَّة والنَّزاهة. مات في شهر رمضان، سنة ثلاث وتسعين ثمانمائة، رحمه الله تعالى. * * *
