    ٢٢٢٩ - الشيخ الفاضل شُعَيْب بن أيُّوب بن رُزَيْق بن مَعْبَدابن شِيطَا الصَّرِيفينيّ*. ذكره التميمي في "طبقاته"، وقال: تفقّه على القاضي أبي خازم، وروَى عنه، وعن عيسى بن أبان، وأبي أسامة حمّاد ابن أسامة، وزيد بن الحُباب، وأقرانهم. وروى عنه عَبْدان الأهْوازىُّ، ومحمد بن عبد الله الحَضْرَمِيُّ مُطَيَّن، وغيرهما، والله تعالى أعلم. وكان على قضاء "واسط"، وبها مات، سنة إحدى وستين ومائتين. ووثَّقه الّدارَقُطْنىِ. قال ابنُ حِبّان: كان يُدَلَّس ويخطئُ، فيما حَكاه السَّمعانيِ. وذكره المزِّيُّ في "التَّهْذيب"، وقال: روَى عنه أبو داود حديثا واحدا. وله ترجمة واسعة. * * *
