١٩٨٥ - الشيخ الفاضل زياد بن علي بن الموفق بن زياد بن محمد بن زياد أبو الفضل بن أبي القاسم بن أبي نصر عُرف بزين الحرمين من أهل "هراة" *. قال أبو سعد: مولده في صفر، سنة إحدى وسبعين وأربعمائة. سمع من جدّه أبي نصر بن زياد، وغيره. قال: وقرأت عليه جزءًا من سماعه من جدّه، وأجاز لي مُشافهةً. وهو من بيت الرياسة والتقدّم (¬١). ورد "بغداد" حاجًا. وكتب إلى [أبو] (¬٢) عبد الله محمد بن الفضل الدهّان، وأنا بِبُخارى، أن أبا الفضل ابن زياد مات بـ"هراة"، يوم الأربعاء، الثالث من جمادى الآخرة، سنة ثمان وأربعين وخمسمائة، رحمه الله تعالى. * * *
