١٨٣٨ - الشيخ العالم المحدث الفقيه القاضي دته بن شرف الدين السيوستاني، أحد العلماء الصالحين * *.قرأ العلم على والده، وعلى الشيخ محمود، والشيخ عبد العزيز الهروي. وأخذ الحديث والتفسير عن الشيخ بلال التلهتي، وصحب كبار المشايخ، وأخذ منهم، حتى برع في العلم والمعرفة، ومهر في التفسير والجفر الجامع، وفي فنون أخرى. أخذ عنه الحسين بن شاهي بيك القندهاري ملك "السند"، ولقّبه الشيخ عثمان السندي الأستاذ، وقبره في قرية "باغبان"، ذكره معصوم بن صفائي الترمذي في "تاريخه". * * *
