١٧٩٥ - الشيخ الفاضل العلامة القاضي خوشحال الكابلي، أحد العلماء المبرّزين في الفنون الحكمية *. قدم "لاهور" في عنفوان شبابه، وقرأ النحو والعربية على الشيخ بهلول، والشيخ محمد يحيى ابن أخ الشيخ منوّر، ثم سافر إلى "بخارى". وأخذ الفنون الحكمية عن الشيخ يوسف القراباغي، رجع إلى "الهند" سنة إحدى وأربعين وألف، وسافر إلى "الحجاز"، فحجّ، وزار، ثم رجع إلى "الهند"، ودخل "أكبر آباد"، فولي القضاء بمدينة "دهلي". ولما عزل القاضي محمد أسلم عن قضاء المعسكر ولي مكانه، ولما جلس عالمغير على سرير الملك ولّاه القضاء بمدينة "لاهور"، فاستقلّ به إلى وفاته، كما في "مرآة العالم". * * *
