    ١٢٥٩ الشيخ العالم الحدّث ثناء الله السنبهلي، أحد فحول العلماء*. اشتغل بالعلم من صغره، وسافر إلى "دهلي"، فلازم الشيخ ولي الله بن عبد الرحيم الدهلوي، وأخذ عنه وأخذ الطريقة عن الشيخ موسى، ثم عن الشيخ جانجان العلوي الدهلوي، وبلغ الغاية. وكان آية ظاهرة في العلم والعمل، والصبر والاستقامة، لم يزل مشتغلا بالذكر والمراقبة والتدريس والتذكير، وكان يقول: إن في تدريس الحديث والقرآن نورا وصفاءا للقلب، وتتقوّى النسبة الأحمدية، كما في "المقامات". * * *
