    ١٠٨٣ - الشيخ الفاضل بالي بن حاجي سيّدي الرومي الإيديني أحد فضلاء الدولة العثمانية *. قرأ على المولى خطيب زاده، وصار ملازمًا منه، وأخذ عن غيره من فضلاء تلك البلاد. وصار مدرّسًا بعدّة مدارس، وولي بالمدارس الثمان مرّتين، وولي قضاء "بروسة" مرّتين. ومات وهو مدرّس بإحدى الثمان، في اليوم الثاني من آخر الربيعين، سنة ثمان وعشرين وتسعمائة (¬١)، ودفن عند مسجده بمدينة "قُسطنطينية". وكان من المشهورين بالعلم والفضل في "الديار الرومية"، وكان عنده كتب كتيرة، أوقفها (¬٢) قبل وفاته على أولاده، ثم على طلبة العلم الشريف.وله "رسالة" متضمّنة للأجوبة عن إشكالات المولى سيّدي الحُميدي. * * *
