    ١٠٦٩ - الشيخ الفاضل أيوب بن محمد يعقوب السهارنفوري، المظاهري * *.طبيب من علماء الشريعة الهنود، من أسرة معروفة بالطبّ. التحق بجامعة مظاهر العلوم، تتلمّذ بشكل خاصّ على محمد يحيى الكاندهلوي، وأخيه محمد إلياس، وقرأ قليلا على محمد زكريا الكاندهلوي مع اشتغاله بالطبّ. له "تراجم الأحبار من رجال شرح معاني الآثار" للطحاوي، و"حاشية على شرح معاني الآثار" للطحاوي كذلك، و"رسالة في تحقيق ولادة الطحاوي"، و"تصويب التقليب الواقع في تهذيب التهذيب"، جمع فيه ما فرط من قلم ابن حجر في تذكرة الرواة. توفي سنة ١٤٠٧ هـ. * * *
