    ٨٩٤ - الشيخ الفاضل إسماعيل بن سميع الكوفي، السابري *.بفتح السين وسكون الألف، وفتح الباء الموحّدة، وفي آخرها الراء، قال السمعاني: هذه النسبة إلى نوع من الثياب، يقال لها: السابري، والمشهور بهذه النسبة جماعة، منهم: أبو محمد إسماعيل بن سُميع الحنفي الكوفي، بياع السابري. يروى عن أبي رزين، وأبي مالك. روى عنه إسرائيل، وحفص بن غياث، وغيرهما. وأثنى عليه أحمد بن حنبل، وهو ثقة. كذا في "الجواهر المضية". * * *
