    ٨٨٩ - الشيخ الفاضل إسماعيل بن خليل، الإمام، تاج الدين *. تفقّه، واشتغل، وكان يسكن "الحُسينية" (¬١). ووضع "مقدمة" في أصول الفقه، وأخرى في الفرائض، وكان له فيها يد طولى. وكان صالحًا، عفيفًا، زاهدًا، وكان صادق الرؤيا، يخبر بأشياء يسندها إلى منامه، فتجيء كفلق الصبح، حتى كان يُخبر في كلّ سنة بزيادة النيل، فلا ينخرم. ومات في ثامن جمادى الآخرة، سنة تسع وثلاثين وسبعمائة. قاله ابن حجر.وذكره صاحب "الجواهر"، وأثنى عليه بالعلم، والصدق، والدين المتين (¬١)، رحمه الله تعالى. قلت: ذكر القارئ أنه له "مقدمة" في الفقه، وفي الفرائض، وإن وفاته سنة تسع وثلاثين وسبعمائة بـ "القاهرة". * * *
