٨٧٨ - الشيخ الفاضل إسماعيل بن أحمد الأحمدي، فقيه "طرابلس الشام" ومحدّثها في عصره *. مولده ووفاته بها. تعلّم في الأزهر، وجاور بـ "مكّة" مدة قصيرة، وعاد إلى "طرابلس"، فعكف على التدريس والإفتاء، واختير أمينا للفتوى فيها، وكفّ بصره في كبره. له حواش وتعاليق على "شرح الدر" في فقه الحنفية، ورسالة في علم الفرائض، ونظم، ومقامات. والأحمدي نسبة إلى بلدة "بني أحمد" (من مديرية المنيا بمصر) (¬١). توفي سنة ١٢٢٨ هـ.
