    ٧٦٢ - الشيخ العالم الصالح أحمد الفيّاض الأميتهوي، أحد الفقهاء المشهورين في عصره *. ذكره البدايوني، وقال: كان له يد بيضاء في الحديث والتفسير والتاريخ والسير، وكان كثير الحفظ، حفظ القرآن الكريم في عام واحد، وكان فصيح العبارة، كثير المطالعة، حلوّ المذاكرة، كثير الدرس والإفادة، مع الدينوالتقوى وإيثار الانقطاع وترك التكلّف والقناعة باليسير والنصح للمسلمين، وكان يقرأ الفاتحة خلف الإمام في الصلوات، ويرد في ذلك على معاصره الشيخ نظام الدين الأميتهوي. انتهى. * * *
