    ٤٩٠ - الشيخ الفاضل أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد العقيلي، الأنصاري، البُخاري، العلامة، شمس الدين كان شيخًا، عالمًا، ثبتًا *.روى عن جدّه لأمّه الإمام العلامة شرف الدين عمر بن محمد بن عمر العقيلي، وتفقّه عليه. وكان مخصوصًا بشرح "الجامع الصغير" لمحمد بن الحسن، ونظمه نظمًا حسنًا. ومات بـ "بخارى"، في الخامس من شهر رمضان، سنة سبع وخمسين وستمائة. رحمه الله تعالى. قلت: وسيأتي ذكر جدّه، ونسبتهما إلى العقيلي، وهو بفتح العين، نسبة إلى عقيل بن أبي طالب رضى الله عنه، أخي على بن أبي طالب ﵁، ذكره السمعاني. * * *
