    ٢١٧٤ - محمد بن عبد الملك بن يزيد الرواس: لم أجد له ترجمة في شيء من كتب الرجال الَّتي عندي. "صحيح سنن أبي داود" (٢/ ٣١١). قال الدريني: لم أقف له على ترجمة، بل لم يذكره أبو سعيد بن الأعرابي - وهو الراوي عنه هنا - في "معجم شيوخه"، ولم يذكر سوى (محمد بن عبد الملك الدقيقي أبو جعفر) (الأرقام: ٦٠٥ - ٦٠٩ - علمية). أمَّا الذهبي فقد ذكره في "تاريخ الإِسلام" (٦/ ٥٥١) في الرواة عن أبي داود سليمان بن الأشعث صاحب السنن، فيمن روى عنه "سننه" فقال: "وأبو أسامة محمد بن عبد الملك الرواس"، ولم أقف له على ترجمة مفردة، واللّه أعلم.
