    ٦٣٠٩- عباد بن رفاعة العنزي. له إدراك وقصة مع أبي بكر الصّديق. ذكرها أبو الفرج الأصبهاني في ترجمة أبي العتاهية الشاعر، فروى عن محمد بن يحيى الصّولي، عن محمد بن موسى بن حماد، قال: كان كيسان جدّ أبي العتاهية الأعلى من أهل عين التمر فسبي مع من سبى في غزاة خالد بن الوليد، وكان يتيما، فلما حضروا عند أبي بكر جعل أبو بكر يسألهم واحدا واحدا عن أنسابهم، فيخبره كل واحد منهم بمبلغ معرفته، حتى سأل كيسان فذكر أنه من عنزة، وبحضرة أبي بكر يومئذ عباد بن رفاعة أحد بني هدم بن عنزة بن أسد بن ربيعة بن نزار، فاستوهبه من أبي بكر، وكان قد صار خالصا له فوهبه له فأعتقه.
