"صحيح ابن خزيمة" (١/ ١٠١، ٤/ ٦٨ الأرقام ٢٠١، ٢٣٦٧)، "المسح على الجوربين" (٤٤). قال الدريني: ذكره المزي (١٢/ ٥٣٧) في ترجمة (شعيب بن يحيى بن السائب التجيبي) ضمن تلاميذه، ونسبه (الدمياطي)، وكذا نسبه (٢٢/ ٢٧٥) في ترجمة (عمرو بن هاشم البيروتي) ضمن تلاميذه أيضًا. ذكره الذهبي في "المقتنى في سرد الكنى" (١/ ٢٥١ رقم ٢٣٨١)، وقال عنه "شيخ ابن جوصاء"، ولم يذكر فيه جرحًا ولا تعديلًا.ولم يعرفه الندوي في تحقيقه لـ "الشعب" (٨/ ٥١٢ رقم ٦١٦٢).
