    أبو جعفر الكبريتي. كان أحد عباد الله الأخيار وصحب صالح بن عبد الكريم وحكى عنه. رَوَى عنه: أبو العباس ابن مسروق الطوسي. أخبرني محمد بن أحمد بن رزق قال: أخبرنا جعفر الخلدي، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن مسروق، قال: حدثنا أبو جعفر الكبريتي صاحب صالح بن عبد الكريم قال: قيل لصالح بن عبد الكريم: إن قوما يجدون قلوبهم في القصائد، ولا يجدونها في القرآن؟ قال: فقال صالح: إن القرآن عزيز، ويريد القرآن عقلا عزيزا، وهؤلاء عقولهم فيها ضعف فاحتملوهم. ٧٦٩٩ -
