    أبو بكر الفوطي، من مشايخ الصوفية. حكى عنه محمد بن داود الدقي، وغيره. حدثنا عبد العزيز بن علي الأزجي، قال: حدثنا علي بن عبد الله بنجهضم الهمذاني بمكة، قال: حدثنا محمد بن داود قال: سمعت أبا بكر الفوطي، وأبا عمرو ابن الأدمي يقولان - وكانا يتواخيان في الله تعالى -: خرجنا من بغداد نريد الكوفة، فلما صرنا في بعض الطريق إذا نحن بسبعين رابضين على الطريق فقال أبو بكر لأبي عمرو: أنا أكبر سنا منك، دعني حتى أتقدمك، فإن كانت حادثة اشتغلوا بي عنك، ونجوت أنت، فقال أبو عمرو: نفسي ما تسامحني بهذا، ولكن نكون جميعا في مكان واحد، فإن كانت حادثة كنا جميعا، فجازا جميعا في وسط السبعين فلم يتحركا ومرا سالمين. ٧٦٥٩ -
