يوسف بن أحمد بن محمد، أبو القاسم التمار البغدادي. نزل الرقة فحدثني عبيد الله بن أحمد بن عبد الأعلى الرقي الفقيه قال: كان يوسف بن أحمد بالرقة يعرف بالبناء قال: وولي وساطة الحكم بالبلد سنين، وكان شاهدا بالرقة، وحدثنا عن البغوي، وابن أبي داود، وابن صاعد، وحدثنا عن أحمد بن الحسن بن عبد الجبار الصوفي مجلسا واحدا، وعن الباقين شيئا كثيرا، وحدثنا عن أبي بكر النيسابوري والمحاملي ومن بعدهما، وكانت أصوله جيادا، وكان ثقة وسمعت منه في سني أربع وخمس وست وثمانين وثلاثمِائَة، ومات قبل التسعين فيما أحسب. ٧٦٠٥ -
