موسى بن الفضل بن الفرخان أبو عمران. نزل مصر، ومات بها. حدثنا الصوري قال: أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن الأزدي قال: حدثنا عبد الواحد بن محمد بن مسرور، قال: حدثنا أبو سعيد بن يونس قال: موسى بن الفضل بن الفرخان يكنى أبا عبد الرحمن بغدادي قدم إلى مصر قديما، وكان صديقا لوجوه أهل مصر، ومؤاكلا لهم ومشاربا، وكان أديبا عاقلا، وأنا أعرفه قد امتنع من الحديث وحفظنا عنه حكايات، وكان يقال: إن عنده عن عفان بن مسلم ونحوه، توفي يوم الإثنين للنصف من المحرم سنة ثلاثمِائَة. ٦٩٧٩ -
