علي بن أحمد بن الهيثم بن خالد أبو الحسن البزاز. حَدَّثَ عن علي بن حرب، وعباس بن عبد الله الترقفي، وعيسى بن أبي حرب الصفار. رَوَى عنه الدارقطني، ويوسف القواس، وابن الثلاج، وحدثني الخلال أن يوسف القواس ذكر علي بن أحمد بن الهيثم في جملة شيوخه الثقات.أخبرني محمد بن علي بن الفتح، قال: أخبرنا أبو الحسن الدارقطني، قال: حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن الهيثم البزار الشيخ الصالح. أخبرنا السمسار، قال: أخبرنا الصفار، قال: حدثنا ابن قانع، أن ابن أحمد بن الهيثم المعدل مات في سنة ثمان وعشرين وثلاثمِائَة، وكذلك ذكر ابن الثلاج، وزاد: في صفر. ٦٠٨٣ -
