    عثمان بن علي بن إبراهيم بن صالح بن برية، أبو عمرو الوكيل على أبواب القضاة، يلقب: طيرة. حَدَّثَ عن بشر بن موسى، ومُحَمد بن موسى البربري، ومُحَمد بن زكريا الغلابي، وموسى بن زكريا، والحسين بن إسحاق التستريين. رَوَى عنه الدارقطني، وحدث عنه ابن رزقويه. وما علمت من حاله إلا خيرا. قرأت في كتاب محمد بن علي بن عمر بن الفياض: توفي أبو عمرو عثمان بن علي الوكيل الملقب بطيرة في آخر شوال من سنة ست وأربعين وثلاثمِائَة. ٦٠٤٨ -
