    عمر بن سهل بن مخلد أبو حفص البزاز. حَدَّثَ عن الحسن بن عبد العزيز الجروي. رَوَى عنه عبد الله بن عدي الجرجاني، وذكر أنه سمع منه ببغداد. ٥٩٠١ - عمر بن إسماعيل بن سلمة، أبو حفص المعروف بابن أبي غيلان الثقفي. سمع علي بن الجعد، وداود بن عمرو الضبي، وأبا إبراهيم الترجماني. رَوَى عنه إسحاق بن محمد النعالي، وأبو حفص ابن الزيات، ومُحَمد بن إسماعيل الوراق، وطلحة بن محمد بن جعفر، وكان ثقة. حدثني عبيد الله بن أبي الفتح، عن طلحة بن محمد بن جعفر. وأخبرنا السمسار، قال: أخبرنا الصفار، قال: حدثنا ابن قانع، أن عمر بن أبي غيلان الثقفي مات في ذي الحجة من سنة تسع وثلاثمِائَة. ٥٩٠٢ -
