    عبد الرحمن بن مسعود العبدي. أحد أصحاب أمير المؤمنين عمر بن الخطاب، نزل المدائن، وحدث بها عن علي بن أبي طالب، وعن سلمان الفارسي. رَوَى عنه الحسين بن الرماس العبدي، والهذيل بن بلال الفزاري. وقد ذكرنا حديث كونه بالمدائن في باب من يسمى بشرا من هذا الكتاب. أخبرنا الحسن بن أبي بكر، قال: أخبرنا أحمد بن كامل القاضي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن الفرج، قال: حدثنا يونس بن محمد المؤدب، قال: حدثنا حسين بن الرماس، قال: سمعت عبد الرحمن بن مسعود وسليم بن رباح وزكريا بن إسحاق؛ يحدثون عن سلمان، عن النبي ﷺ قال: لا يتكلفن أحد لضيفه ما لا يقدر عليه. كذا قال: سليم بن رباح وزكريا بن إسحاق عن سلمان. ٥٣٠٤ -
