سعدان بن المبارك، أبو عثمان الضرير، مولى عاتكة مولاة المهدي امرأة المعلى بن أيوب بن طريف، وكان أبوه المبارك من سبي طخارستان. ذكره أبو بكر ابن الأنباري في رواة العلم والأدب من البغداديين، وكان يروي عَن أبي عبيدة معمر بن المثنى أشياء من كتبه. حَدَّثَ عنه محمد بن الحسن بن دينار الهاشمي الأحول. ولسعدان من التصانيف، كتاب خلق الإنسان، وكتاب الوحوش والأمثال، وكتاب الأرضين والمياه والجبال والبحار. ٤٧٣٥ -
