زراع بن عروة الحنفي. شاعر محدث من أهل اليمامة. ذكره أبو عبيد الله محمد بن عمرانالمرزباني فيما حدثنيه علي بن المحسن عنه، وقال: ورد بغداد ومات بها، وهو القائل [من الطويل]: فقد قال زراع فكن عند قوله ترفق بأهل الجهل إن كنت ساقيا وجدت أقل الناس عقلا إذا انتشى أقلهم عقلا إذا كان صاحيا يزيد حسي الكأس السفيه سفاهة ويترك أحلام الرجال كما هيا ٤٥٦١ -
