خلف بن الفتح بن هاشم، أبو أحمد، أصله من بخارى. وهو بغدادي المولد والمنشأ. سمع سعدان بن نصر، ومُحَمد بن إسحاق الصاغاني، ومُحَمد بن عبيد الله المنادي. وانتقل عن بغداد إلى بلخ فسكنها وحدث بها، فروى عنه عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن حامد البلخي. أخبرني أبو الوليد الحسن بن محمد الدربندي، قال: أخبرنا محمد بن أحمد بن محمد بن سليمان الحافظ ببخارى، قال: سمعت عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن حامد يقول: أبو أحمد خلف بن الفتح بن هاشم بخاري الأصل، ومولده ببغداد، ومات ببلخ سنة ثمان وعشرين وثلاث مائة. ٤٣٨٠ -
