أحمد بن محمد بن الحسن بن الجنيد أبو بكر الفقيه صاحب أبي ثور. أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الواحد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن العباس، قال: قرئ على ابن المنادي وأنا أسمع، قال: ومات أبو بكر أحمد بن محمد بن الحسن بن جنيد صاحب أبي ثور يوم الأربعاء، ودفن في يوم الخميس لتسع عشرة خلون من ذي القعدة سنة خمس وثمانين، يعني ومائتين، وكان أحد الفقهاء المستورين، منزله بالجانب الغربي على نهر كرخايا درب الكوفيين. ٢٥٩١ -
