    أحمد بن علي بن بسام أبو الحسين يعرف بابن سبك الديناري. ذكره لي أبو نعيم الحافظ، وقال: هو بغدادي قدم أصبهان سنة أربعين وثلاثمائة يروي عن عبد الله بن إسحاق المدائني، وطبقته. وأخبرني محمد بن علي المقرئ، عن محمد بن عبد الله النيسابوري الحافظ، قال: أحمد بن بسام أبو الحسين البغدادي، ورد نيسابور سنة أربعين وثلاثمائة، فسمع من أبي العباس الأصم وطبقته، وروى عن أبي محمد بن صاعد، وأبي حامد الحضرمي، وأقرانهما. ثم دخلت بغداد سنة سبع وستين، وهو بها حي في سوق الثلاثاء، وهو يحدث غير محمود عندهم، ثم جاءنا نعيه سنة سبعين. ٢٣٨١ -

    ٨٠١ - أحمد بن علي بن بسام أبو الحسين بن سبك الديناري • أحمد بن علي بن بسام أبو الحسين بن سبك الديناري. روى عن ابن صاعد، وَأبي حامد الحضرمي، وَعبد الله بن إسحاق المدائني. قال الحاكم: قدم علينا سنة أربعين فسمع من الأصم، وَغيره ثم دخلت بغداد سنة سبع وستين وهو حي وهو يحدث غير محمود عندهم ثم جاءنا بقية سنة سبعين وثلاث مِئَة.
