أحمد بن سليمان بن أحمد بن سليمان بن محمد بن عمرو أبو الطيب الجريري. كان عمرو الذي انتهى نسبه إليه روميا جلب إلى هارون الرشيد، وإليه ينسب شارع عمرو الرومي ببغداد. وكان أبو الطيب فقيها على مذهب محمد بن جرير الطبري، انتقل إلى مصر فسكنها وحدث بها عن أحمد بن الحسن بن أحمد الكرخي. روى عنه أبو الفتح عبد الواحد بن محمد بن مسرور، ذكر أنه سمع منه في سنة اثنتين وخمسين وثلاثمائة. ٢١٣٣ -
