أحمد بن الخليل أبو جعفر البيع القطيعي. حدث عن إسحاق بن شاهين الواسطي، ورزق الله بن موسى الإسكافي، ويوسف بن موسى القطان، ومحمد بن عبد الملك بن زنجويه. روى عنه أبوبكر بن مالك القطيعي، وأبو نصر أحمد بن محمد بن كردي الفلاس. أخبرنا أبو الحسن أحمد بن محمد الزعفراني المؤدب، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن جعفر بن حمدان إملاء، قال: حدثنا أبو جعفر أحمد بن الخليل البيع القطيعي، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن شاهين، قال: حدثنا خالد بن عبد الله، عن بيان، قال: سمعت قيس بن أبي حازم يقول: قال جرير بن عبد الله: ما حجبني رسول الله ﷺ منذ أسلمت، ولا رآني إلا ضحك.
