أحمد بن البراء بن المبارك العبدي أبو بكر المقرئ، والد محمد. حدث عن عمرو بن الأزهر العتكي، ويعلى بن عبيد الطنافسي. روى عنه ابنه أبو الحسن محمد، وإسحاق بن إبراهيم بن سنين الختلي. أخبرنا عبد العزيز بن محمد بن جعفر العطار، وعلي بن أحمد الرزاز قالا: حدثنا عثمان بن أحمد الدقاق، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن البراء العبدي، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن عمرو بن الأزهر، عن يونس، عن الحسن، قال: قال لقمان لابنه: يا بني إياك والدين، فإنه ذل النهار، وهم الليل. ١٩٢٥ -
