    محمد بن قيس البغدادي. حدث عن محمد بن عبيد الطنافسي. روى عنه عبد العزيز بن سليمان الحرملي. أخبرني الحسن بن محمد الخلال، وأبو القاسم الأزهري، قالا: حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن اليسع الأنطاكي، قال: حدثنا عبد العزيز بن سليمان الحرملي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن قيس البغدادي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبيد، قال: حدثنا مسعر، عن أشعث بن أبي الشعثاء، عن رجاء بن حيوة، عن معاذ بن جبل، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: أصابتكم فتنة الضراء فصبرتم، وإن أخوف ما أخاف عليكم فتنة السراء من قبل النساء، إذا تسورن الذهب ولبسن ريط الشام وعصب اليمن وأتعبن الغني وكلفن الفقير ما لا يجد.
