محمد بن علي بن سهيل العطار الخضيب. حدث عن عبيد الله بن عمر القواريري، وأبي همام السكوني. روى عنه أبو الفتح محمد بن الحسين الأزدي الحافظ. أخبرنا عبد الغفار بن محمد المؤدب، قال: أخبرنا أبو الفتح محمد بنالحسين الأزدي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن علي بن سهيل الخضيب، قال: حدثنا أبو همام الوليد بن شجاع، قال: حدثنا مصعب بن سلام، عن شعبة بن الحجاج، عن ابن عقيل، عن جابر، قال: لما طلق حفص بن المغيرة امرأته قال له رسول الله ﷺ: متعها ولو بصاع. قال الأزدي: لم يكن هذا الشيخ مرضيا، سرقه، هو عند علي بن أحمد بن النضر، وأصله عن شعبة باطل، إنما هو عن الحسن بن عمارة. ١٣٠٣ -
