    محمد بن إسماعيل بن محرز، أبو جعفر. نزل البصرة، وحدث بها عن حفص بن غياث النخعي. روى عنه أبو بكر أحمد بن محمد الحراني. أخبرنا علي بن محمد بن الحسن المالكي، وأبو الحسن محمد بن عبد الواحد بن محمد بن جعفر، قالا: حدثنا عمرو بن محمد بن علي الناقد، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن عمر الحراني، قال: حدثنا محمد بن إسماعيل بن محرز، أبو جعفر البغدادي في سكة قريش، قال: حدثنا حفص بن غياث النخعي، عن ليث، عن أبي فزارة، عن يزيد بن الأصم، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: ثلاث من كن - يعني فيه - فإن الله يغفر له ما سوى ذلك:من مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا، ولم يكن ساحرا يتبع السحرة، ولم يحقد على أخيه. ٣٧٤ -
