١٠٤٠ - علي بن يحيى بن عبد الكريم بن الفقيه، أبو الحسن: من أهل البندنيجين، سكن بغداد مدة وسمع بها كتاب «الصحيح» للبخاري من أبي الوقت الصوفي، وعلت سنه ولم يرو شيئا فيما أعلم، وكان متزهدا متنسكا متغطيا في منزله لا يخرج منه ولا يراه أحد، ويبقى أياما لا يأكل الطعام، اتهم أن بعض الأمراء أودع عنده مالا فقبض عليه وحمل إلى البندنيجين وعوقب وأخذ المال منه، وبقي محبوسا هناك مدة طويلة إلى أن توفي في محبسه في يوم الثلاثاء السادس والعشرين من شهر ربيع الأول من سنة ثلاث وستمائة، وقد نيف على الستين.
