٩٨٦ - علي بن نصر بن حمزة بن علي بن النضر بن عبيد الله التيمي، أبو الفرج بن أبي طالب بن أبي القنابل المارستاني: والد عبيد الله الذي قدمنا ذكره، هكذا رأيت نسبه بخط ولده، وقد روى عنه حديثا زعم أنه سمعه من أبي بكر محمد بن عبد الباقي الأنصاري، ورأيت عامة مشايخنا يبطلون ذلك من سماعه ونسبه ويذكرون أنه ابنه اختلق له نسبا وسماعا ولم يكن له معرفة بشيء من ذلك، وكان عاميا يخدم المرضي في المارستان. ذكر عبيد الله بن علي ونقلته من خطه أنه أباه مات في ليلة الاثنين مستهل شهر رمضان سنة ست وسبعين وخمسمائة، ودفن من الغد بباب [ .... ] (¬٢).
