    ٩٦٣ - علي بن منصور بن محمد بن يوسف بن سوار الضرير: روى عنه أبو إسحاق إبراهيم بن أحمد بن إبراهيم المستملي البلخي في معجم شيوخه. أخبرنا محمد بن أبي السعادات قال: كتب إلى القاسم بن الفضل بن الحسن بن أحمد السّمرقندي أخبره (¬٢)، أنبأنا أبو بكر أحمد بن محمد بن العباس البلخي، أنبأنا إبراهيم بن أحمد المستملي، حدثني علي بن منصور بن يوسف بن سوار الضرير ببغداد في مسجد ابن عيسى، حدّثنا أبو القاسم المؤذن العسكري، حدّثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي قال: قال لي سفيان: كنا عند رابعة (¬٣) فعذلها جماعة منا، فقالت لنا: ويحكم كم تعذلون أني لأؤمل من الله آمالا لو وضعت على الجبال (¬٤) ما حملتها ولكني كيف بحسرة السباق.
