    ٧٩٧ - علي بن الحسين، أبو الحسن القطان: قرأت على أبي عبد الله الحنبلي بأصبهان عن الخضر بن الفضل بن عبد الواحد قال: كتب إلى أبو القاسم إسماعيل بن مسعدة الإسماعيلي، أنبأنا حمزة بن يوسف السهمي قراءة عليه، أخبرني أبو عبد الله الحسين بن بكر الوراق بالبصرة، حدثنا أبو الحسن علي بن الحسين بن جعفر البغدادي القطان، حدثنا أبو عبيد الله بن الربيع الحيري بمصر، حدثنا أبو لقمان، حدثنا أبو هاشم بن القاسم، حدثنا الثوري عن أبي إسحاق عن عاصم بن ضمرة عن علي ﵁ قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: «اتقوا غضب عمر فإن الله يغضب إذا غضب» (¬٢).
