    ٧٧٦ - علي بن الحسن، أبو الحسن (¬١) الكاتب، المعروف بابن الماشطة (¬٢): كان من مشايخ الكتاب وأعيانهم، وله صناعة في الخراج وتقدم في الحساب، وصنف في ذاك كتبا، وكان يتصرف في أعمال السلطان، ذكره أبو عبد الله المرزباني وقال: رأيته شيخا كبيرا بعد العشر وثلاثمائة وجاوز التسعين وله شعر، وقد حكى عن الفضل بن مروان وزير المستنصر بن المتوكل، روي عنه علي بن هشام الكاتب.
