    ٦٩٣ - علي بن أبي البركات بن أبي الحسن بن أبي العجين، أبو الحسن: من الجانب الغربي، سمع الحديث الكثير بعد الأربعين وخمسمائة، وما أظنه روى شيئا.ذكره أبو بكر محمد بن علي بن زيد الكتبي المقرئ فيما نقلته من خطه، وقال: مات في جمادى الأولى سنة اثنتين وستين وخمسمائة، وتوفي بباب البين، وكان كيّسا قد قرأ طرفا من الفقه، وسمع الحديث كثيرا، وكان فقيرا جدا صابرا على الفقر لا يشكو إلى أحد.
