    ٥٣٩ - علي بن أحمد بن بركة بن عناق، أبو الحسن المقرئ: من أهل باب البصرة، سمع أبا الفضل محمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن المهتدي بالله وأبا السعود أحمد بن علي بن المجلي وأبا البركات عبد الوهاب بن المبارك الأنماطي وغيرهم، وكان أحد القراء المجودين، ومن أهل الصلاح والدين، حدث باليسير، سمع منه شيخنا أبو بكر محمد بن المبارك بن محمد بن مشّق البيع وأبو المعالي محمد بن أحمد ابن صالح بن شافع وروى عنه، وسألته عنه فأثنى عليه (¬٢) ثناء حسنا، وقال: قرأت عليه القرآن. أنبأنا ابن مشّق ونقلته من خطه قال: توفي أبو الحسن بن عناق في يوم الاثنين تاسع عشر ربيع الآخر سنة اثنتين وسبعين وخمسمائة، ودفن بمقبرة جامع المنصور.
