    ١٢٥٣- عياش بن شراحيل الحميري روى عن سعيد بن المشيب، ولي البحر زمن بني أمية، ودخل الأندلس وقدم بالسفن منها إلى أفريقية سنة مائة كذا ذكره ابن يونس: عياش بن شراحيل، في غير نسخة من كتابه، وقيل في هذا الاسم: عياش بن أحيلي الحميري، ذكره الدارقطني في باب عياش بن أحيل قال الحميدي: وهكذا رأيته بخط أبي عبد الله الصوري وقال فيه الدارقطني: يروى عن معاوية بن حديج وقال: هو رعيني عداده في البصريين. وذكره يعقوب بن سفيان في التاريخ فقال فيها: يعني سنة مائة، قدم عباس بن أجيل بالسين المعجمة والباء من الأندلس إلى أفريقية هكذا رأيته مضبوطاً بالله أعلم.
