١١٧٣- عمر بن يوسف [بن عمروس] أبو حفص محدث إشبيلي رحل إلى القيروان فسمع جماعة من أصحاب سحنون بن سعيد، ثم رحل إلى مصر فسمع من محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحكم وطبقته، ثم عاد إلى القيروان وأقام بها، وبها مات قاله أبو محمد بن حزم وقال: هو مشهور بالقيروان وقد روى أبو عمران موسى بن عيسى الفاسي، فقيه القيروان في أماليه حديثاً من طريقه، توفى سنة تسعين ومائتين.
