٨٩١- عبد الله بن محمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن محمد بن عبد الله المعافري الإشبيلي والد الحافظ أبي بكر، كان بإشبيلية بدراً في فلكها، وصدراً في مجلس ملكها، واصطفاء ملكها ابن عباد اصطفى المأمون لابن أبي داود هكذا قال فيه الفتح في كتاب المطمح له، ولما نشأ ابنه الحافظ أبو بكر، وتحقق النجابة في رحل [ ... ] إلى المشرق، ولم يزل يتحول معه، ويختلف إلى العلماء مدة إلى أن توفى هناك، عفا الله عنه بمصر، وكان ذا حظ من الطب والأدب.
