    ١١٦٩ - علي بن هبة الله البزار البصري المغفّل: سمع الكثير بنفسه وكتب بخطه له حكايات في التغفل منها ما حكاه بعضهم أنه رئي يمشي ويداه مبسوطتان كأنه يعانق شيء (كذا) فقال: ما شأنك؟ قال: إن أمي إجّانة هذا القدر. وقال آخر: لقيته ومعه كوز نحاس فيه زيت يقطر من أسفله، فأعلمته وقلت: لعل فيه خرم (كذا) يجري منه فلما سمعه قلبه في الحال وجعل ينظر إلى أسفله، فساح الدهن على ثيابه وتركته متعجبا وانصرفت. سمع أبا علي بن المهدي وابن الحصين وكان صالحا. توفي سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وخمسمائة.
